A little bit about me …

I recently left the non-profit world and have been trying to figure out what I am going to do for the rest of my life.  My husband, Jack, and I have been married for over 41 years.  We a have a blended family that includes … are you ready for this … our 3 amazing daughters, (one is mine from a previous relationship), my husband’s three terrific sons, 20 precious grandchildren and 5 cherished great-grandchildren!  As you can imagine, we have a very full, active and busy life!

Living a Heartfull Life is a place for, creativity, inspiration, encouragement, making a difference and sharing our stories.  By sharing our stories, I believe we will find out that we have more in common with each other than we have differences.  Our lives are like a dot-to-dot drawing.  As the stories are connected, a beautiful picture unfolds.

What does it mean to live heartfully?

To me, living heartfully means to love and care with our whole hearts.  It means acting with loving-kindness, encouraging others, being empathetic, and building relationships.  I used to teach the communities that I worked with that we hold every person’s heart in our hands and we must be ever so gentle and caring.

Believe me when I say, I do not always do this well.  If fact, there are times that I fail miserably.  Life is messy.  I stumble and fall.  But I keep learning from my mistakes.  I keep working towards living a more heartfull life.  I invite you to join me on this journey.  Together, we can make a difference. Perhaps we can make this a kinder, gentler world for all children to live in.

Our stories

I believe that we are all connected by our stories. There is a common thread that runs through each of our stories. When we take the time to listen to someone else’s story, we find out that we are not so different. We can change the way we see the world by changing the story we tell ourselves.
